Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Your journey begins with an early morning departure from Kampala or Entebbe, where you will be met by your professional driver-guide from E-Tripz. After a short briefing, you will set off დასავლ through the Ugandan countryside, passing vibrant towns, rolling hills, and lush green landscapes that offer a true glimpse into rural life. Midway through the journey, you will make a stop at the Equator crossing for photos and a brief experience of this unique geographical landmark. The journey continues with scenic views of terraced hills and local farms as you approach the southwestern region of Uganda. Lunch will be served en route at a selected local restaurant, after which you will proceed toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. You will arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon, where you can relax and take in the breathtaking forest surroundings. Depending on arrival time, you may enjoy a short nature walk or simply unwind at the lodge. In the evening, dinner will be served, followed by a briefing about the next day’s gorilla trekking experience.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi
The highlight of your journey begins early in the morning with breakfast at the lodge, followed by a transfer to the park headquarters at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for registration and a detailed briefing by experienced park rangers. You will be assigned to a specific gorilla family group and guided into the dense forest for the trek. The duration of the trek can vary from a couple of hours to most of the day, depending on the location of the gorillas. The terrain can be steep and challenging, but the experience is immensely rewarding. As you track through the forest, your guides will share insights about the ecosystem, wildlife, and the habits of the gorillas. Once the gorilla family is located, you will spend a strictly regulated one hour in their presence. This is a rare and powerful experience—observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat, watching their social interactions, and witnessing their human-like behaviors up close. After the trek, you will return to the starting point where you will receive a certificate of participation. You will then head back to the lodge for a well-deserved rest and lunch. In the afternoon, you may choose to relax at the lodge or participate in an optional community visit to experience the culture of the local Batwa people, gaining insight into their traditional forest lifestyle. Dinner will be served at the lodge as you reflect on one of the most unforgettable wildlife encounters in the world.
Day 3: Return to Kampala / Entebbe
After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will check out and begin your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe with your E-Tripz driver-guide. The drive offers another opportunity to take in Uganda’s stunning landscapes—rolling hills, terraced farmlands, and vibrant local communities. You will make a stop at the Uganda Equator for photos and optional souvenir shopping. Lunch will be served en route at a selected restaurant. As you continue the journey, you may also have brief stops at local markets to experience fresh produce and interact with local vendors, giving you a final taste of Ugandan culture. You will arrive in Kampala or Entebbe in the late afternoon or early evening. Depending on your travel plans, you will be dropped off at your hotel or transferred directly to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
